Disinfection and Sterilization of Cosmetic Tools

All metal tools must be decontaminated before and after use. Processing stages:

• washing

• disinfection

• sterilization.

After the procedure, tools are considered contaminated and must be re-sterilized (this also applies to new tools before first use).

After use, remove contaminants and place the tools in an ultrasonic cleaner with a cleaning and disinfecting solution with a broad spectrum of action (viruses, bacteria, fungi, mycobacteria). 

IMPORTANT:

• Strictly follow the instructions regarding concentration, time, and temperature – errors can cause corrosion and loss of cutting properties.

• Do not disinfect rusty and non-rusty tools together.

• After disinfection, rinse thoroughly, dry, and lubricate moving parts with medical paraffin.

Perform sterilization in a type B autoclave, in a sterile barrier (bags/sleeves), using only distilled or demineralized water in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.

The use of ball sterilizers is not recommended. Skipping any stage reduces the effectiveness of sterilization and may lead to tool corrosion.
